This time I got hold of a friend that climbs much better than me. I really like those opportunities because it means for once I can enjoy toproping the crux and get schooled on hard climbing. With an afternoon of good weather, time, and lots of motivation we opted for the tour d'Ai and a route at my sport climbing limit. Though the tour has the reputation of not-the-best rock, the route Gonzo offered us mostly solid rock with good protection. We could only enjoy the views from the summit shortly because wind and breaking night urged us to descend. Having never done the via ferrata I was quite impressed how well it is equiped. It certainly made for a very pleasant descent. Thanks for putting up the top rope into the crux and patient belaying during the second crux!
