The region near Oppdal offers many beautiful hikes through the wild Norwegian back-country. On this trip, we explored the area around the hut Kamtjønnkoia. In particular, we climbed Blåhøa on the first day (also hut approach day) and Gjevillvasskamben (1627m) on the second day with some alternatives hikes and scrambles along the way. In mid October, the sun does not rise very far during the day which wraps the mountains in beautiful light the entire day. With freshly fallen snow, complete solitude, and fabulous landscapes this trip was well worth the long travel to get there.
